George is a Deputy Chief with the East Franklin Fire Department. George is one of the founding members of Kevin Apuzzio Foundation. In December of 2012 he was one of the lead people pushing to get the foundation started. Today he works to run the day to day operations of the Foundation.

Dr Apuzzio is Kevin's father and is dedicated to keeping his sons memory alive. Along with his wife, they were both excited to have the foundation start and support its mission 100%.

Greg is also one of the founding members of the Foundation. As one of Kevin's friends he has worked to also keep Kevin's memory alive.
Kevin Magliaro

Kevin was a good friend of Kevin. They went to Union Catholic High School together and were members of Union Emergency Medical Unit together. After Kevin's untimely death Kevin M. worked with a group of friend to found Those Guys Fire Department, a social group. One of the things the group did was establish the Kevin Apuzzio Scholarship at Union Catholic, awarded every year to a senior involved with emergency services. When Those Guys Fire Department dissolved a few laters, Kevin M. joined with the Kevin Apuzzio Foundation in order to keep the scholarship at Union Catholic alive.
Mission
The Kevin Apuzzio Memorial Foundation was established on December 5th, 2013, by the voting members of the East Franklin Fire Company, to provide funds and support to student firefighters following in Kevin's footsteps of community service.
In June of 2014, the Kevin Apuzzio Memorial Foundation officially incorporated as a New Jersey Non-Profit Corporation. In doing so, the foundation separated from the East Franklin Fire Company and formed it's own Governing Board.
All funds raised go directly to support the Foundation's mission to carry on the legacy of Kevin Apuzzio through scholarships and outreach programs.

Scholarship
The Kevin Apuzzio Foundation's Annual Scholarship is awarded every year to a college student who is involved in emergency services with the state of New Jersey. They can be either a member of an EMS organization or Fire Department.

Training Day
From it's inception on the goals for the foundation was to provide low cost training opportunities to emergency services. This goal will finally materialize on December 9th for the Kevin Apuzzio Training Day. For the first year we will be doing a small fire based training, however we would like to expand over years to come to provide EMS training as well.
